SABS UNIVERSITY JAMSHORO MARKS ANNIVERSARY OF OPERATION BUNYANUL MARSOOS, MARKA-E-HAQ WITH SEMINAR AND CULTURAL ACTIVITIES
Jamshoro (May 05, 2026): Shaheed Allah Buksh Soomro (SABS) University of Art, Design and Heritages Jamshoro commemorated the anniversary of Operation Bunyanul Marsoos, Marka-e-Haq with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. In this regard, a seminar was organized to highlight the significance of the operation and the valor of Pakistan’s armed forces.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Arabella Bhutto, addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of remembering national achievements and sacrifices for the country’s defense. She stated that such historic milestones serve as a reminder of the courage and determination of the nation and its armed forces. She emphasized that besides armed forces general public and universities played a vital role in promoting awareness about national history, encouragement and promoting patriotism among people. She also encouraged the youth to contribute positively towards the progress and stability of Pakistan through knowledge, creativity, and dedication.
A panel discussion was also held during the seminar, featuring Chairman Fine Arts Department Shoukat Khokhar, Chairperson Architecture and Planning Ar. Shazia Abro, Chairperson Textile Design Sanam Bhutto, and Assistant Professor Fine Arts Fazal Ellahi Khan as panelists. Collectively, the speakers highlighted the role of art, design, and academia in preserving national narratives and promoting a sense of identity and unity. They emphasized that creative disciplines can effectively portray themes of patriotism, sacrifice, and resilience, helping to engage younger generations with the country’s history. The speakers also discussed the importance of Pakistan in current scenario, its international recognition in promoting peace, role of Pakistani media and other aspects. The session was moderated by Deputy Director Public Relations Latif Gaad, who ensured an engaging and insightful dialogue among the panelists.
The event also featured a screening of a documentary highlighting Pakistan’s military achievements during the wars against India. Students actively participated by presenting patriotic poetry, adding an emotional touch to the occasion.
